What Cue writes under each email

An example inbox. Cue writes the next step under each email, for example “Confirm meeting time · Oct 21 4 PM · CSE building”, and counts the emails that need your reply.

Google will ask to let Cue read and send mail and see your calendar. That's how it knows what needs you, drafts replies and prepares briefs. Nothing sends without you.

During the private beta, Google may show an “unverified app” warning. Choose Advanced, then Go to Cue to continue.

You keep Gmail.

Cue works on top of the Gmail account you already have. There's nothing to move and nothing to give up.

  • Your mail stays in Gmail — Nothing is migrated. Gmail keeps working on your phone and everywhere else.

  • Your Gmail stays as you left it — Cue's tabs and sorting live inside Cue. It doesn't label, move or filter mail in Gmail unless you set up a rule that does.

  • Nothing sends without you — Cue suggests replies. You decide what goes out. Your mail is never used to train AI models.

  • Stop any time — If you stop using Cue, nothing changes. Your emails were in Gmail all along.

Email has worked the same way for over 50 years.

A list of messages, newest first, and the rest is up to you: what each one wants and what to say back. Cue does a lot more than sorting. It tells you what most emails need from you, like “Reply with your flight time” or “Confirm Wednesday 4 PM”, right under the email.

Intelligence, not just sorting.

  • Today — What needs a reply, who you're waiting on, and your day.

  • Ask anything — Chat that searches your mail and calendar.

  • Rules in plain English — Tell Cue what to do with a kind of email, the way you'd say it.

Questions

Do I have to leave Gmail?

No. Cue works on top of the Gmail account you already have. Your mail stays in Gmail, nothing is migrated, and Gmail keeps working everywhere you use it. Cue's tabs and sorting live inside Cue, so it doesn't label, move or filter anything in Gmail unless you set up a rule that does. You can disconnect any time.
